The LG Water Filter: a technical dossier
LG water filters should be replaced every 6 months. A blocked filter causes low water flow, bad taste, and can freeze the water line — leading to ice maker failure.
- Slow water flow
- Ice maker not filling
- Water tasting or smelling off
- Filter warning light on
- Water dispenser sputtering
- Check the filter age and condition
- Test flow before and after the filter
- Replace with a genuine LG filter
- Flush the line to clear air
- Reset the filter indicator
